I've been running a Hi-Capa with an HPA adapter for about a year and a half. Initially I borrowed an aluminum tank from a buddy, then tried cheap carbon from AliExpress — which cracked on the gel coating after three games, so I looked for something solid.
I knew about X Custom from Nakashi's video. I wondered if 0.36L would be enough — but for a Hi-Capa it's surprisingly plenty, a pistol just doesn't consume as much air as a rifle. I only refilled twice during a full day of play.
The 650 PSI output regulator caught my eye — reducing seal wear on HPA conversions is something we deal with all the time. That was the tipping point for me.
Downside: delivery took a day longer than promised. Minor detail, but worth mentioning.
I had the starter set with the aluminum tank from X Custom for about a year. It worked fine, but after every indoor CQB game, my back was aching by the end.
So I ordered the 0.36L carbon tank. First thing I noticed when picking it up — literally nothing. I mean, I barely felt it. Teammates were asking what was new because my pack looked lighter.
Drawback — the price. I hesitated for a long time. But after the first game, I realized I should have bought it way sooner. Highly recommend to everyone.
The weight difference is noticeable. The backpack is simply lighter. I don't know how to describe it better. The weight just isn't there and it feels great.
